Live Broadcast with News, Entertainment, & Photography

Hey everyone!

I have some exciting news today.  A small video group at the college is starting a live broadcast that will air every Tuesday night at 6pm (MST) on local Channel 14 and also on the Sheridan College U-Stream channel (SCPTV).

With a variety of subjects being covered, from news to YouTube videos, it will be both entertaining and informative.

I’m going to be showcasing a different photographer each week, both well-known and unknown.

So here’s my idea, if you would like to be showcased on both our local television network and on the Internet just let me know.  This is a great way to get your name and business out there, for free!

I do have some guidelines that you need to follow, though.

If you want to participate, I need to know the following things:

  • Your Name
  • Your Location
  • Specialty (Landscape, Portrait, Commercial, etc.)
  • Website Link (Portfolio, Gallery, etc.)
  • Any message you would like me to pass along to the viewers.

You can either

  • DM me through Twitter (@nate_lawson)  Make sure you’re following me!
  • Contact me through Facebook (Nate Lawson)
  • Email me at natelawson@natelawson.com
  • Reply to this Blog post.

To make things fair, I’ll showcase photographers in the order that I receive them.

So let me know today and you could be first!

*Note: I’m limiting this to photographers only please.  I may expand on this to include others; designers, web developers, etc. at a later date.

All times are Mountain Standard Time (MST) and may be subject to change.

My name is Sandra Sigfusson, and I’m in Vancouver, BC. Canada.  I’m definitely interested in applying to be a showcased photographer.  I don’t have a “specialty” as I’d rather not limit my photo opportunities to just one genre.  However, I would say that landscapes and musicial instruments are my favourite subjects.  For me, a great photograph evokes some kind of emotion, or instantanious reaction from the viewer.   That is my ultimate goal each time I hold my camera in my hands, and easier said than done.
